As a residential and property realtor, I often handle the sale or purchase of my client’s most valuable asset. I take personal responsibility in that. I feel for my sellers in tough situations and realize the importance my expertise brings to their lives. A well-handled real estate transaction can be a win-win for both the seller and the buyer. History

My family has lived in the Spokane area for generations. My mom was born here in 1914 and my dad started and was President of Dix Corporation (Built U.S. Pavilion for Expo ‘74—Icon of Spokane!). I grew up in Spokane and graduated from Washington State University. I then went on to get a master’s degree in Biology and Education with an emphasis in Anatomy and Physiology from Gonzaga University. While degrees in anatomy and education may seem odd for a realtor, that background has served me well.

I couldn’t do what I do everyday and deliver exceptional service to my clients without the help of my incredible team. Whitney is a licensed real estate agent and takes care of running my office so I can dedicate my time in person with my clients.

    Whitney is my full-time licensed real estate assistant (and played soccer at Whitworth University!). She handles office paperwork, advertising, website information and keeps all the listing information current.

Conservation and community

Suzy is passionate about more than buying and selling homes and land. Her career in real estate allows her to spend more time with the things she loves most: conservation, community, family, farming, polo, volunteering, advocacy, and making the world a better place.

  • I have two great kids—both graduates of Washington State University (located just 80 miles south of Spokane, in Pullman). Catlin has a degree in Agricultural Science and is a cattle rancher (who owns her ranch near Spokane) and professional polo player. She has played (And gets paid!) in the Woman’s U.S. Open, Argentina’s Women’s Open and U.S. West Coast Open. Cody has a degree in Agricultural Economics and is working on his father’s cattle ranch southwest of Spokane. Both of my kids are members of the Spokane Polo Club, were members of the Spokane Ski Racing Association and were on the Washington State University Rodeo Team.

    My husband A.T. Miller is a land use and environmental attorney in Spokane (He is quite helpful on many of my real estate questions!). He is President of Dishman Hills Conservancy—Also, a Rotarian and is my polo cheerleader. He and I are avid hikers and love our national parks. A.T. has summited Mt. Rainier five times as well as all the volcanoes in Washington and Oregon and has been on as many boards as me! His family came to Spokane in 1885.

    My five big interests are my family, farm, horses, art, and land. Real estate is not just my career; it’s also something I invest in myself. I am a true believer in what I do, and I think that after working with me, you will be too.

  • When I am not showing houses and property, I am running a working farm on Moran Prairie (200 Acres) with 40 horses (polo, breeding stock and my retirees) or playing polo. We have farmed about 120 acres currently in Sunflowers, might be wheat or garbanzos next year.

  • I am currently on the Dishman Hills Conservancy Board of Trustees (15-Years on board)—DHC and Daybreak Youth Services--Recovery and treatment program for teens. World Outside my Shoes--Founded by Carl Wilkens, who was living with his family in Rwanda during the genocide. I am passionate about my service to the community and beyond. I was a member of the Board of Trustees for The Nature Conservancy of Washington State www.nature.org for a 6-year term and now serve on their Legacy Council.

    The DHC is a conservation minded organization working with neighbors and landowners and is committed to the management and stewardship of this unique area. Personally, I have been involved in acquiring over 890 acres for DHC. My commissions of over $100,000 have all been donated back to DHC.

  • Currently on the board of Daybreak Youth Services--Recovery and treatment program for teens.

    In the past I have been involved The WSU Foundation for Planned Giving; 6-years as the Board of Directors for the Ronald McDonald House, past Vice President of The Morning Star Boys Ranch Foundation, past Board of Directors for SpokAnimal. Served as past President of the Spokane Polo Club; past board member of Mount Spokane Ski Racing Association and delivered meals for Meals on Wheels for over 30 years, on and off.

  • I am also a board member of Carl Wilken’s “World Outside My Shoes”—an organization whose goal is to inspire and equip people to stand up against genocide, racism and intolerance www.worldoutsidemyshoes.org.

    Many of my clients get involved with me in these organizations. Maybe it’s my passion rubbing off on them, or maybe I am just a tough person to say “no” to. Either way, these wonderful organizations benefit from their involvement. And new clients (now friends) enjoy an opportunity to meet likeminded people!

  • I’ve played polo internationally in New Zealand (8X) and Australia (6X). Ambassador’s Cup matches (Co-Ed) and tournaments in England, Australia, Mexico, New Zealand, and South Africa. No matter where I go on these quick trips, I am in touch with my clients by phone on a daily basis. Polo is a great sport, and I have leveraged that interest into initiating and serving on the organizing committee for the annual Ronald McDonald Polo Classic (Hope to restart!) that has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for the Ronald McDonald House. I ski raced for Mt. Spokane Ski Race Association for 8 years and I am a serious hiker.
